地中海の豊かな自然に囲まれた南イタリアの港町トロペアを舞台に、人生の再生と希望を描いたヒューマンドラマ。 日本で建築プロデューサーとして成功を収めたイタリア人のジーロは、かつての夢をもう一度追いかけるため、故郷トロペアに戻ってくる。その夢はトロペアと日本の淡路島を結ぶ壮大なマリーナ開発計画で、実現するためには豊かな海であることの証明が不可欠だ。しかし彼を待ち受けていたのは、乱獲により疲弊した地中海の現実だった。一方、ジーロの父で元漁師のロッコは、リタイアした漁師たちが集う大衆食堂「TAVERNA DE GAGA」の壁に魚の絵を描きながら静かな日々を過ごしていた。父子は長年におよぶ確執を抱えていたが、父が余命わずかであることを知ったジーロは、複雑な想いを抱えながらも和解を決意。環境調査プロジェクトへの参加を自ら申し出た父と共に、元漁師仲間たちも巻き込んで、最後の挑戦へと漕ぎ出していく。 イタリア出身で日本でタレントとして活動してきたパンツェッタ・ジローラモが映画初主演を務め、料理研究家・タレント・実業家・俳優のベリッシモ・フランチェスコ、イタリアで活躍する日本人俳優・市川純が共演。企画・製作・監督は、作家や都市・リゾートプロデューサーとして活躍し、70歳を過ぎてから本格的に映画監督の活動を始めた浜野安宏。第3回トロペア映画祭の国際長編部門にて最優秀作品賞を受賞した。

A human drama set in Tropea, a port town in southern Italy surrounded by the rich nature of the Mediterranean, depicting life's rebirth and hope. Gilo, an Italian who achieved success as an architectural producer in Japan, returns to his hometown of Tropea to chase a long-lost dream. The dream is an ambitious marina development project connecting Tropea and Japan's Awaji Island, and to make it a reality, proving the richness of the sea is essential. However, what awaits him is the reality of a Mediterranean exhausted by overfishing. Meanwhile, Gilo's father, Rocco, a former fisherman, spends his quiet days painting pictures of fish on the walls of a taverna called "TAVERNA DE GAGA," where retired fishermen gather. The father and son have harbored a long-standing rift, but when Gilo learns his father has little time left to live, he resolves to reconcile despite his complex feelings. Together with his father, who volunteers to join the environmental survey project, and involving his former fellow fishermen, they set out on one final challenge. Italian-born entertainer Girolamo Panzetta makes his film acting debut in the lead role, with cooking expert, entertainer, businessman, and actor Francesco Bellissimo, and Japanese actor Jun Ichikawa, who is active in Italy, co-starring. Planned, produced, and directed by Yasuhiro Hamano, who is active as a writer and urban/resort producer and began his serious filmmaking career after the age of 70. It won the Best Feature Film award in the international feature category at the 3rd Tropea Film Festival.
