「相棒」シリーズなどでおなじみの俳優・水谷豊の長編監督第4作。水谷が企画・脚本・プロデュース・主演を兼任し、60代、40代、30代の男女3組が織りなす予測不能な物語が交錯する。 25年間勤め上げたレストランを定年退職する佐藤は、離婚後、娘にも会うことができず、自分の人生はもう終わりだと悟っていた。そんな佐藤に起こった小さな奇跡が、彼に思いがけない喜びをもたらす。絵画教室を営む富士夫は、画家の父の影に苦しみながら、酒と女に溺れる毎日を送っていた。別居中の妻ミキとの離婚は避けられないと思われたが、冨士夫の最後の告白がすべてを変えていく。ホテルで働く礼央は、カフェで出会った葵に一目ぼれし、ふたりはすぐに恋に落ちる。しかし、礼央は葵のある秘密を知ってしまう。 3組の男女それぞれが織りなす人間模様を、ストーリーごとにテーマカラーを設定して描いた。水谷のほか、池谷のぶえ、菜葉菜、河相我聞、趣里、橋本淳が顔をそろえ、水谷と趣里は本作が親子初共演となった。撮影監督を「相棒」シリーズも手がける会田正裕、音楽を水谷監督の前作「太陽とボレロ」の山元よしきが担当。
The fourth feature film directed by actor Yutaka Mizutani, familiar from the "Aibou" series. Mizutani also handles planning, script, production, and lead acting, as unpredictable stories intertwine involving three couples in their 60s, 40s, and 30s. Sato, retiring after 25 years at a restaurant, divorced and unable to see his daughter, feels his life is over. A small miracle brings him unexpected joy. Fujio, who runs a painting class, struggles under his painter father's shadow, drowning in alcohol and women daily. Divorce from his estranged wife Miki seems inevitable, but Fujio's final confession changes everything. Reo, working at a hotel, falls in love at first sight with Aoi, whom he meets at a café, and they quickly fall for each other. But Reo learns a secret about Aoi. The human dramas of these three couples are depicted with a theme color set for each story. Alongside Mizutani, the cast includes Nobue Iketani, Nanahana, Gamon Kaiga, Shuri, and Jun Hashimoto. This film marks the first parent-child co-starring role for Mizutani and Shuri. Cinematography is by Masahiro Aida, who also worked on the "Aibou" series, and music by Yoshiki Yamamoto from Mizutani's previous film "Taiyo to Bolero."
