ニューヨーク・メトロポリタン歌劇場（MET）の最新オペラ公演を映像収録し、映画館で上映する「METライブビューイング」2025～26シーズンの第1作。ベルカント・オペラの第一人者リッカルド・フリッツァの指揮のもと、ネイディーン・シエラとシャビエール・アンドゥアーガという世界最高峰のコンビが共演したベッリーニのオペラ「夢遊病の娘」を収録（2025年10月18日上演舞台を収録）。 スイスの山村。かつて孤児だった女性アミーナは、裕福な男性エルヴィーノと結婚する日を迎える。アミーナが指輪を受け取ったところへ1人の紳士が現れるが、実は彼は領主の息子ロドルフォだった。エルヴィーノの元恋人リーザが営む宿に泊まったロドルフォは、夜ごと姿を現す幽霊についての噂を聞く。やがてロドルフォの部屋に夢遊病のアミーナが現れ、ロドルフォは彼女が「幽霊」の正体であることに気づく。アミーナはそのままロドルフォの部屋で眠ってしまい、それを目撃したエルヴィーノは彼女の不実を疑い婚約破棄を言い渡す。
The first production of the 2025-26 season of "MET Live in HD," which records and screens the latest opera performances from New York's Metropolitan Opera in movie theaters. Conducted by Riccardo Frizza, a leading figure in bel canto opera, this recording captures Bellini's opera La Sonnambula featuring the world-class duo of Nadine Sierra and Javier Camarena (recorded from the October 18, 2025 performance). In a Swiss mountain village, Amina, once an orphan, is set to marry the wealthy Elvino. As Amina receives the ring, a gentleman appears—revealed to be Rodolfo, son of the lord. Staying at the inn run by Elvino's former lover Lisa, Rodolfo hears rumors of a ghost that appears nightly. Later, Amina appears in Rodolfo's room in a sleepwalking state, and he realizes she is the "ghost." Amina falls asleep in Rodolfo's room, and Elvino, witnessing this, suspects her of infidelity and calls off their engagement.
