バイオリン大好き少年サーシャは、近所の少年たちにいじめられているところを、青年セルゲイに助けられる。セルゲイはローラーで整地作業をする労働者だったが、これをきっかけに二人は友だちになり、サーシャは労働を知り、セルゲイは音楽に心を開かれてゆく。だが、二人で映画を見ることをサーシャの母親は反対するのだった…。
Sasha, a boy who loves the violin, is being bullied by neighborhood kids when he is rescued by a young man named Sergei. Sergei is a road worker who levels the ground with a steamroller, but this encounter sparks a friendship. Through Sergei, Sasha learns about labor, and through Sasha, Sergei opens his heart to music. But Sasha's mother disapproves of the two going to the movies together...
