Starring Masato Hagiwara, this noir drama depicts the existential despair of two men who would never have met if not for one woman taking an interest in them. Having failed to notice his long-time wife’s illness and living in regret after her death, Higashijima leaves the yakuza underworld behind. He drifts into an unfamiliar town and meets a woman named Saori at a bar. Intrigued by him, Saori begins to entrust him with work. Meanwhile, Minami, a member of a criminal organization, finds himself unable to endure the monotony of his daily life. Upon learning of Higashijima’s existence through Saori, Minami hopes the man will change the scenery of his world and assigns him to look after a young boy named Shogo. Higashijima carries out his duties in silence, but after discovering Shogo’s secret, he defies his orders and takes the boy outside... Masato Hagiwara plays Higashijima, Tomoka Kurotani plays Saori, and Motoki Fukami plays Minami, supported by a cast including Soraji Shibuya, Kyosuke Yabe, Eriko Nakamura, Suzuka Ohgo, Hideko Hara, and Susumu Terajima.
