「猿楽町で会いましょう」「うみべの女の子」の石川瑠華が主演を務め、言葉にならない思いと向き合う高校生の揺れ動く心情を、みずみずしい映像でつづった青春ドラマ。 水泳部に所属する高校1年生の葵は、上級生からの理不尽な嫌がらせに耐えながら、黙々と練習に打ち込む日々を送っていた。そんな彼女には、誰にも言えない悩みがあった。同級生の水泳部員・日菜にひかれる気持ちを持て余していたのだ。ある日、日菜への嫌がらせに我慢ならなくなった葵がついに上級生に抵抗したことをきっかけに、1年生は上級生と水泳でリレー勝負をすることになる。実力不足の1年生は圧倒的に不利な状況で、葵は同級生から批判され、日菜のことも困らせてしまう。葵は幼なじみで同じ水泳部の昌樹に励まされ、その存在に救われる一方で、昌樹に対しても友情以上の感情が芽生えていることに気づく。恋とは何か、友情とは何か、そして自分は何者なのかと葛藤する葵だったが……。 「九十歳。何がめでたい」の中島瑠菜が日菜を演じ、倉田萌衣、佐々木悠華、松宮倫、八条院蔵人が共演。監督は「スイート」で第30回キネコ国際映画祭の国際審査員特別賞などを受賞した安井祥二。
Directed by Shoji Yasui, who won the International Jury Special Award at the 30th Kineko International Film Festival for 'Sweet', this coming-of-age drama follows a high school student grappling with unspoken feelings, captured through fresh, vivid imagery. Aoi, a first-year high school student on the swimming team, endures unreasonable harassment from upperclassmen while silently dedicating herself to practice. She harbors a secret she cannot share with anyone: her growing attraction to her classmate and fellow swimmer, Hina. One day, unable to bear the harassment directed at Hina, Aoi finally stands up to the upperclassmen, triggering a relay race between the first-years and the seniors. Overwhelmingly outmatched, the first-years face criticism, and Aoi ends up embarrassing Hina. Encouraged by her childhood friend and fellow swimmer Masaki, Aoi finds solace in his presence, yet also realizes she is developing feelings for him that go beyond friendship. Torn between love, friendship, and her own identity, Aoi struggles to understand herself. Runa Ishikawa, known for 'Let's Meet in Sarugakucho' and 'Umibe no Onnanoko', stars as Aoi. Runa Nakajima from 'Ninety Years Old. What a Joy.' plays Hina, with supporting performances from Moe Kurata, Yuka Sasaki, Rin Matsumiya, and Zohjin Hachijoin.
