宮崎駿の漫画版「風の谷のナウシカ」全7巻を歌舞伎化した「新作歌舞伎 風の谷のナウシカ」の前編。 「火の7日間」と呼ばれる戦争によって産業文明が滅び、大地のほとんどが巨大な蟲と有害な瘴気を発する森＝「腐海」に覆われた世界。風を操る民が暮らす小国「風の谷」の族長の娘ナウシカは、人々が恐れる腐海や蟲とも親しみ、腐海が生じた謎を解き明かそうとしていた。そんなとき、火の7日間で世界を焼き尽くした「巨神兵」を復活させる力を秘めた石が小国ペジテで発見され、その秘石を手にしようと大国トルメキアが動き出す。 前編となる本作には、全7幕のうち、序幕「青き衣の者、金色の野に立つ」、二幕目「悪魔の法の復活」、三幕目「白き魔女、血の道を征く」を収録。新橋演舞場で2019年12月6日から25日に上演された舞台を映像収録し、ディレイビューイングとして2020年2月に東劇、新宿ピカデリーほかで上映された（前編：2020年2月14日から2月20日／後編：2020年2月28日から3月5日の各1週間限定上映）。
The first part of "New Kabuki: Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind," a kabuki adaptation of all seven volumes of Hayao Miyazaki's manga version of "Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind." The story is set in a world where industrial civilization was destroyed by a war known as the "Seven Days of Fire," and most of the land is covered by the "Sea of Corruption," a forest that emits giant insects and toxic miasma. Nausicaä, the daughter of the chieftain of the small "Valley of the Wind," where people who control the wind live, is not afraid of the feared Sea of Corruption or its insects and seeks to unravel the mystery of its origin. One day, a stone containing the power to revive the "God Warrior," which burned the world in the Seven Days of Fire, is discovered in the small kingdom of Pejite, and the powerful empire of Tolmekia moves to seize it. This first part includes three of the seven acts: Act I "The One in Blue Garments Stands in a Golden Field," Act II "The Revival of the Devil's Law," and Act III "The White Witch Marches on the Bloody Path." This is a recorded video of the stage performance held at Shinbashi Enbujo Theatre from December 6 to 25, 2019, screened as a delayed viewing in February 2020 at Togeki, Shinjuku Piccadilly, and other venues (Part 1: February 14–20, 2020 / Part 2: February 28–March 5, 2020, each for a limited one-week run).
