「池島譚歌」「私の骨 MY BLOOD BONE」の荻野欣士郎が監督・脚本を手がけ、テレビ局などの報道機関が特定の立場や意図に基づいて情報を編集・強調することで受け手の考えを誘導する「偏向報道」をテーマに制作した社会派ドラマ。かつてテレビ番組制作ディレクターとして報道に携わった経験をもつ荻野監督が、自身の体験した風通しの悪い縦社会を舞台に、下請け制作会社のディレクターがテレビ局上層部の悪習に立ち向かう姿を描き出す。 地方都市のテレビ局・テレビトップの下請け制作会社に所属する、はっきりとものを言う性格のディレクター・油神鈴子。ある時、テレビ局の子会社が、知事のパワハラに関する真偽不明な情報をもとにねつ造映像を制作する。鈴子はその映像の放送を差し止めてほしいと頼まれるが……。 俳優としても活躍するお笑いタレントの鳥居みゆきが油神鈴子役で主演を務め、権力で子会社や下請け会社を威圧する報道局長役で誠直也が共演。東さや香、大迫一平、時東ぁみ、郷田ほづみ、小野進也、螢雪次朗ら個性豊かな俳優陣が脇を固める。

Drawing from his own experience as a TV program director, Ogino depicts a rigid, top-down society where a director at a subcontracting production company confronts the corrupt practices of TV network executives. Suzuko Aburakami, a blunt-speaking director working for a subcontractor of the local TV station 'TV Top,' is asked to stop the broadcast of a fabricated video produced by the network's subsidiary, based on dubious information about the governor's harassment. Comedian and actress Miyuki Torii stars as Suzuko, with Seiya Makoto as the news director who intimidates subsidiaries and subcontractors. The cast includes Sayaka Higashi, Ippei Ōsako, Ami Tokitō, Hozumi Gōda, Shinya Ono, and Setsujirō Hotaru.
