ザ・ローリング・ストーンズが1965年9月3日と4日に敢行したアイルランド・ツアーを記録したドキュメンタリー。 ストーンズ初の公式フィルムである本作には、当時「サティスファクション」の世界的大ヒットで勢いに乗っていた彼らが繰り広げる熱狂のステージに加え、ツアー中のオフショットやインタビュー映像なども収録。監督は「TONITE! LET'S ALL MAKE LOVE IN LONDON」などイギリスやアメリカのサブカルチャーを記録した作品を多く手がけるピーター・ホワイトヘッド。 2011年には未編集未発表のステージ映像が新たに発見され、翌12年にその映像を加えて再編集した2Kレストア版が製作された。2022年8月、2Kレストア版を劇場公開。
A documentary recording The Rolling Stones' tour of Ireland on September 3 and 4, 1965. This film, the Stones' first official film, captures their electrifying stage performances at a time when they were riding high on the worldwide success of '(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction,' along with off-stage footage and interviews from the tour. Directed by Peter Whitehead, known for documenting British and American subcultures in works such as 'Tonite Let's All Make Love in London.' In 2011, previously unedited and unreleased stage footage was newly discovered, and in 2012, a 2K restored version was produced with that footage added and re-edited. The 2K restored version was released in theaters in August 2022.
