宮崎駿の漫画版「風の谷のナウシカ」を歌舞伎化した「新作歌舞伎 風の谷のナウシカ」の後編。 宮崎駿が自ら監督を務めたアニメ映画版では描かれなかった、原作漫画全7巻の壮大な物語のすべてを歌舞伎化し、新橋演舞場にて昼の部（前編）・夜の部（後編）通しで上演された話題の舞台を映像収録。主人公ナウシカを尾上菊之助、ナウシカと対する皇女クシャナを中村七之助が演じ、脚本には「ゲド戦記」「借りぐらしのアリエッティ」などスタジオジブリ作品を数多く手がける丹羽圭子が参加。演出は「新作歌舞伎『NARUTO ナルト』」を手がけたG2が担当した。 後編となる本作には、全7幕のうち、四幕目「大海嘯」、五幕目「浄化の森」、六幕目「巨神兵の覚醒」、大詰「シュワの墓所の秘密」を収録。新橋演舞場で2019年12月6日から25日に上演された舞台を映像収録し、ディレイビューイングとして2020年2月に東劇、新宿ピカデリーほかで上映された（前編：2020年2月14日から2月20日／後編：2020年2月28日から3月5日の各1週間限定上映）。
The second part of the "New Kabuki: Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind," a kabuki adaptation of Hayao Miyazaki's manga version of "Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind." This kabuki adaptation covers the entire epic story of the original seven-volume manga, which was not depicted in the anime film directed by Miyazaki himself. The stage production was performed at the Shinbashi Enbujō Theatre as a daytime (first part) and evening (second part) continuous performance, and this is a filmed recording of that acclaimed stage. Kikunosuke Onoe plays the protagonist Nausicaä, and Shichinosuke Nakamura plays Princess Kushana, Nausicaä's adversary. The script was written by Keiko Niwa, who has worked on many Studio Ghibli films such as "Tales from Earthsea" and "The Secret World of Arrietty." Direction was handled by G2, who also directed "New Kabuki: NARUTO." This second part includes Act 4 "Great Tsunami," Act 5 "Forest of Purification," Act 6 "Awakening of the God Warrior," and the Grand Finale "Secrets of the Shrine of Shuwa" from the total of seven acts. The stage performance at Shinbashi Enbujō from December 6 to 25, 2019, was filmed and screened as a delay viewing at Tōgeki, Shinjuku Piccadilly, and other venues in February 2020 (first part: February 14–20, 2020; second part: February 28–March 5, 2020, each for a limited one-week run).
