A social drama depicting the darkness of a crumbling Japan through the story of a young woman living at the bottom of a stratified society who dreams of terrorism, and the mysterious Italian man who helps her. Ayuko Amami, a woman in her 20s, commits repeated acts of fraud and theft using matching apps. Her accomplice is Otoya Yamaguchi, whom she met on an app a year ago; they are "comrades in terrorism," a bond that is neither friendship nor romance. The two plan a large-scale terrorist attack targeting the Ministry of Finance, but unable to even find a route to acquire firearms, they continue their fraudulent activities. One day, they are caught in an undercover sting operation led by Detective Sasaki. While Otoya is arrested on the spot, Ayuko manages to escape. During her flight, she is rescued by Leo, a foreign tour guide who happens to be passing by. Upon learning of Ayuko’s terrorist plot, Leo introduces her to Manjiro Haruki, a high-profile wanted terrorist, but... Ayumi Sakuma (Fast Break) stars as Ayuko, with Diego Martina—a multi-talented scholar of Japanese literature, translator, poet, and illustrator—playing Leo, and Naoya Serizawa (NHK’s Hanbun, Aoi) as Otoya. The film is written and directed by Gen Takahashi, known for works such as Confessions of a Dog and GOTH.
