This documentary delves into the issues facing modern medicine while tracing the dark history of medical professionals' complicity in war crimes. At the root of the various problems plaguing Japan's contemporary medical landscape lies the reality of medical professionals' participation in World War II war crimes and the subsequent cover-up. Doctors belonging to "Unit 731," led by Shiro Ishii, transformed the "findings" gained through human experimentation into personal achievements, rising to the center of Japan's post-war medical establishment. Confronting this dark history, there are medical professionals who continue to speak out against war under the banner of "medical ethics."
