「若き詩人」のダミアン・マニベルと「息を殺して」の五十嵐耕平というフランスの日本の若き映画監督が、2014年ロカルノ国際映画祭で出会ったことをきっかけに製作した、共同監督作品。冬の青森に暮らす少年の小さな冒険譚が描かれる。一面が雪に覆われた冬の青森。魚屋の父は毎晩夜中に起き、街の市場へ出かけていく。6歳の息子は父の出がけに目を覚ましてしまい、そのあとふたたび寝付くことができなくなってしまう。家族が寝静まる中、一枚の絵を描いた少年は、翌朝、いつものように学校へ登校する途中で、ふと道をそれ、いつしか電車に乗り、自分の描いた絵を父に届けるために魚市場へと向かう。
A co-directed work by young French and Japanese filmmakers Damien Manivel of "The Young Poet" and Kohei Igarashi of "Hold Your Breath," born from their meeting at the 2014 Locarno International Film Festival. It depicts the small adventure of a boy living in wintry Aomori. In Aomori, covered entirely in snow in winter, a fishmonger father wakes in the middle of every night to head to the city market. His six-year-old son wakes as his father leaves and finds himself unable to fall back asleep. While the family sleeps soundly, the boy draws a picture, and the next morning on his usual way to school, he wanders off course, boards a train, and heads to the fish market to deliver his drawing to his father.
