Footage of the legendary 1986 concert held in Hungary by the British rock band Queen is released in theaters with 4K restored visuals and remastered sound. On July 27, 1986, Queen, in the middle of their "Magic Tour," performed a concert at Népstadion in Budapest, Hungary. This concert was the first stadium performance by a Western rock band in the communist bloc during the East-West Cold War, and all 80,000 tickets sold out, with fans even traveling from distant places such as the former Soviet Union and Poland. On stage, in addition to numerous global hits such as "We Will Rock You," "We Are the Champions," and "Bohemian Rhapsody," the band also performed an acoustic arrangement of the traditional Hungarian folk song "Tavaszi Szél Vizet Áraszt." Queen with Freddie Mercury would go on to perform only five more concerts after this, making it their last filmed performance. Based on footage shot on 35mm film at the time, New Zealand's Park Road Post Production, led by director Peter Jackson, applied a 4K remaster, and together with newly remixed audio, it is brought back to the screen with overwhelming immersion. The theatrical version also includes newly shot interviews in which members Brian May and Roger Taylor discuss the cultural significance and impact of the concert.
