パフォーマンスアートやフェミニズムアートの先駆者として50年以上にわたって活動し、現代の身体芸術やジェンダー表現に多大な影響を与えたキャロリー・シュニーマンの生涯と芸術世界を、実験的アプローチで描いたポートレートドキュメンタリー。 抽象画家としてキャリアをスタートしたキャロリー・シュニーマンは、やがて自らの身体を素材として用いるようになり、1975年にフェミニズムアートにおける極めて重要で過激なパフォーマンス「Interior Scroll（体内の巻物）」を発表した。女性への身体的抑圧に抵抗する作品群は、男性優位の美術界で女性のセクシュアリティや肉体性を生々しく提示し、大きな衝撃を与えた。 本作では、シュニーマンの作品記録や絵日記、そして彼女自身が語る言葉を通して、タブーに挑み続けた彼女が感じていた孤独や怒り、作品への情熱を浮き彫りにしていく。特集上映企画「パフォーマンス・アート：身体と空間をめぐる映画祭」（2026年8月1日～、ユーロスペースほか全国順次公開）にて日本初公開。

A portrait documentary that experimentally depicts the life and artistic world of Carolee Schneemann, who has been active for over 50 years as a pioneer of performance art and feminist art, greatly influencing contemporary body art and gender expression. Starting her career as an abstract painter, Carolee Schneemann eventually began using her own body as material, and in 1975 she presented the extremely important and radical feminist performance 'Interior Scroll'. Her works, which resisted physical oppression of women, vividly presented female sexuality and physicality in the male-dominated art world, causing a major shock. The film highlights the loneliness, anger, and passion for her work that Schneemann felt as she continuously challenged taboos, through her artwork records, illustrated diaries, and her own spoken words. The film will have its Japanese premiere as part of the special screening project 'Performance Art: A Film Festival Around Body and Space' (starting August 1, 2026, at Eurospace and other theaters nationwide).
