シネマ歌舞伎 野田版 桜の森の満開の下
歌舞伎の舞台を映画館でデジタル上映する「シネマ歌舞伎」シリーズ第33弾。坂口安吾の「桜の森の満開の下」と「夜長姫と耳男」をベースに、安吾作品のエッセンスを盛り込み完成させた、野田秀樹の戯曲「贋作 桜の森の満開の下」。1989年の初演以来、92年、2001年と再演を重ね、2018年にも上演された野田の代表作の一つを、2017年8月に歌舞伎座「八月納涼歌舞伎」で野田自身の演出で歌舞伎版として上演。十八世中村勘三郎と野田秀樹が歌舞伎版の上演企画をあたためてきた作品に、中村勘九郎、市川染五郎（現・松本幸四郎）、中村七之助らが顔をそろえた舞台をスクリーン上映。
The 33rd installment of the Cinema Kabuki series, which digitally screens Kabuki stage productions in movie theaters. Based on Ango Sakaguchi's In the Forest, Under Cherries in Full Bloom and The Long-Nosed Princess and the Ear Boy, with essences of Sakaguchi's works woven in, Hideki Noda's play Gansaku: In the Forest, Under Cherries in Full Bloom was first performed in 1989 and revived in 1992 and 2001, and staged again in 2018—one of Noda's representative works. In August 2017, it was performed as a Kabuki version at the Kabukiza's August Enjo Kabuki with Noda himself directing. The production, which the 18th Nakamura Kanzaburo and Hideki Noda had long nurtured as a Kabuki staging project, features Kankuro Nakamura, Somegoro Ichikawa (now Koshiro Matsumoto), Shichinosuke Nakamura, and others, and is screened in theaters.
