結成25年目を迎えるオルタナティブロックバンド「LOSTAGE（ロストエイヂ）」の謎と魅力に迫るドキュメンタリー。 2001年に結成され、奈良を拠点に全国のライブハウスで活動を続ける3人組ロックバンド・LOSTAGE。大手の流通や販売方法を使わずヒットチャートにのらない道を選びながらも、全作品が5500枚以上のセールスを記録し、旧譜の売上も更新し続けている。現在40代のメンバー3人はそれぞれ奈良で家庭を築き、地域密着の店を運営するなど、生活と地続きの音楽活動を続けている。かつては「ロックバンドとして大成すること」を期待されメジャーデビューも経験した彼らは、2011年を転換点に、現実に翻弄されながら紆余曲折の日々を歩んできた。 LOSTAGEとは20年来の関係である映像作家・MINORxUが監督を務め、多くのバンドマンから神格化される存在であると同時に“生活者”として地に足をつけて生きる3人の姿と、その軌跡を描く。
A documentary exploring the enigma and allure of the alternative rock band LOSTAGE as they mark their 25th anniversary. Formed in 2001 and based in Nara, the three-piece band continues to perform at live houses across Japan. Despite choosing a path that avoids major distribution and the hit charts, every one of their releases has sold over 5,500 copies, with sales of their back catalog continuing to grow. Now in their 40s, the three members have built families in Nara and run community-based businesses, maintaining a musical career that is inextricably linked to their daily lives. Once burdened by the expectation to "make it big" and having experienced a major label debut, they reached a turning point in 2011, navigating a winding path through the shifting realities of life ever since. Directed by filmmaker MINORxU, who shares a 20-year history with the band, the film depicts the trajectory of three men who are revered by fellow musicians yet live grounded lives as everyday people.
