山本英夫の同名人気コミックを三池崇史監督のメガホンで実写映画化したバイオレンスアクション。新宿・歌舞伎町のヤクザマンションを舞台に、狂気に満ちた男たちが繰り広げるシュールな戦いを徹底した暴力描写で描き出す。 歌舞伎町を根城とする暴力団・安生組の組長が突然姿を消した。組長から与えられる暴力を愛していたマゾヒストの垣原は、街中を執ように探し回る。やがてイチという殺し屋の存在にたどり着いた垣原は、その常軌を逸した殺しぶりを目の当たりにし、恋心にも似た興奮を覚える。 全身金髪で顔中傷だらけの垣原を浅野忠信、気が弱く泣きながら殺人マシーンと化すイチを大森南朋が演じ、塚本晋也、松尾スズキ、SABU、國村隼らが共演。「金髪の草原」の佐藤佐吉が脚本を手がけた。2026年5月に4Kリマスター版でリバイバル公開。

A violent action film based on the popular manga of the same name by Hideo Yamamoto, directed by Takashi Miike. Set in a yakuza apartment building in Shinjuku's Kabukicho district, it depicts a surreal battle between insane men with thorough violence. The boss of the Anjo-gumi yakuza group, based in Kabukicho, suddenly disappears. Kakihara, a masochist who loved the violence given by the boss, persistently searches the city. Eventually, he learns of a hitman named Ichi, and upon witnessing his deranged killing style, feels an excitement akin to love. Tadanobu Asano plays Kakihara, with bleached hair and a face full of scars, and Nao Omori plays Ichi, a weak-willed man who turns into a crying killing machine. The cast includes Shinya Tsukamoto, Suzuki Matsuo, SABU, and Jun Kunimura. The screenplay is by Sakichi Sato, known for 'The Golden Grasslands.' A 4K remastered version will be re-released in May 2026.
