小学生の加賀美あつ子は魔法の鏡で好きな姿になれる。少女たちの変身願望をとらえた「ひみつのアッコちゃん」の第2作の劇場版1作目。子供の遊び場にビルが建つことになり、反対運動を行う「大将」と建設業の父との交流が描かれる。アッコはデモを先導するバトントワラーに変身する。兼森義則による4頭身のキャラクターが画面狭しとよく動く。

Elementary school student Kagami Atsuko can transform into any appearance she desires using a magical mirror. This is the first theatrical film in the second series of "Himitsu no Akko-chan," which captures the transformation wishes of young girls. The story depicts the interaction between "Taishō," who opposes the construction of a building on the children's playground, and his father, who works in construction. Akko transforms into a baton twirler who leads the protest. Kanemori Yoshinori's four-heads-tall characters move energetically across the screen.
