ヒンディー語映画として初めてダウン症当時者が主演を務め、ムンバイを舞台にダウン症の青年アハーンの日常をストレートかつコミカルに描いたドラマ。 大都市ムンバイで愛情深い両親と暮らすダウン症の青年アハーン。何不自由ない生活ながらも、周囲の目を気にする両親の“配慮”により家に縛りつけられた日々を過ごす彼は、「自立したい」「仕事を見つけたい」「素敵な女性と結婚したい」という思いを募らせていた。一方、中年男性オジーは気難しい性格と潔癖症のせいで妻アヌに見限られ、家にひとり取り残されてしまう。そんな折、アヌと親交のあるアハーンがオジーの家を訪れる。オジーは妻に会うためアハーンを利用することを思いつき、自由な外出を願うアハーンとの間に奇妙な協力関係が生まれる。 ムンバイ出身のニキル・ペールワーニー監督が長編初メガホンをとり、ダウン症当事者アブリ・ママジが主人公アハーン役で俳優デビューを果たした。日本では、医療・健康領域の書籍を中心に扱う社員2人の小さな出版社「生活の医療株式会社」が配給を担当。同社代表の秋元麦踏氏が国際線の機内上映にて本作を鑑賞して感銘を受け、日本での配給権を取得した。

Ahaan, a young man with Down syndrome, lives in the Indian metropolis of Mumbai with his loving parents. Though he leads a comfortable life, his parents' overprotective "consideration"—born from their concern about how others perceive him—keeps him confined to their home. Deep down, Ahaan harbors a growing, earnest desire to become independent, find a job, and marry a wonderful woman. Meanwhile, Ozzy, a cantankerous middle-aged man, has been left alone after his wife, Anu, finally had enough of his rigid self-imposed rules and obsessive cleanliness. It is then that Ahaan, who is close friends with Anu, pays a visit to Ozzy’s home. Ozzy hits upon the idea of using Ahaan as a way to get his hands on his wife’s home cooking, and a strange partnership begins to form with Ahaan, who longs for the freedom to go outside...
