「RRR」のNTR・Jr.が主演を務めた海洋バトルエンタテインメント。 1996年、クリケット・ワールドカップを前に厳戒態勢のインド警察本部に、巨大犯罪組織による破壊工作の情報が入った。特別捜査班のシヴァムは犯罪組織のリーダーを追い、南インドのラトナギリへ向かう。ラトナギリの「赤海」と呼ばれる地域を縄張りとする4つの村からなる集落は、凶悪な密輸団の巣窟として恐れられていた。情報を得るため密輸業者に成りすましたシヴァムは長老シンガッパから、12年前に始まった凄惨な抗争事件と、赤海の英雄デーヴァラとその息子ヴァラの血塗られた伝説を聞く。 NTR・Jr.が伝説の英雄デーヴァラと息子ヴァラを1人2役で演じ、デーヴァラの宿敵バイラ役で「ヴィクラムとヴェーダ」のサイーフ・アリー・カーン、ヒロイン役で「グンジャン・サクセナ　夢にはばたいて」のジャーンビー・カプールが共演。「MIRCHI ミルチ」「ジャナタ・ガレージ」のコラターラ・シバが監督・脚本を手がけた。

A sea battle entertainment film starring NTR Jr. from "RRR." In 1996, on the eve of the Cricket World Cup, the Indian police headquarters, under high alert, receives intelligence about a sabotage plot by a massive criminal organization. Special investigation officer Shivam pursues the organization's leader to Ratnagiri in South India. A settlement of four villages in the region known as the "Red Sea" is feared as a den of vicious smugglers. Disguising himself as a smuggler to gather information, Shivam learns from the elder Singappa about a brutal conflict that began 12 years ago and the bloody legend of the Red Sea's hero, Devaraj, and his son Vara. NTR Jr. plays dual roles as the legendary hero Devaraj and his son Vara. Saif Ali Khan from "Vikram Vedha" plays Devaraj's nemesis Bhaira, and Janhvi Kapoor from "Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl" plays the heroine. The film is directed and written by Koratala Siva, known for "Mirchi" and "Janatha Garage."
