「火口のふたり」の瀧内公美が主演を務め、「かぞくへ」の春本雄二郎監督が情報化社会の抱える問題や矛盾を真正面からあぶり出していくドラマ。3年前に起きた女子高生いじめ自殺事件の真相を追う由宇子は、ドキュメンタリーディレクターとして、世に問うべき問題に光を当てることに信念を持ち、製作サイドと衝突することもいとわずに活動をしている。その一方で、父が経営する学習塾を手伝い、父親の政志と二人三脚で幸せに生きてきた。しかし、政志の思いもかけない行動により、由宇子は信念を揺るがす究極の選択を迫られる。主人公・由宇子役を瀧内、父・政志役を光石研が演じるほか、梅田誠弘、河合優実らが脇を固める。2021年・第71回ベルリン国際映画祭パノラマ部門出品。

Starring Kumi Takiuchi of 'A Balance' and directed by Yujiro Harumoto of 'To the Ends of the Earth,' this drama confronts the problems and contradictions of the information society head-on. Yūko, a documentary filmmaker, pursues the truth behind a high school girl's suicide due to bullying that occurred three years ago. She is committed to shedding light on issues that need to be brought before the public, even if it means clashing with the production side. Meanwhile, she helps run the cram school managed by her father, Masashi, and has lived happily with him, working as a team. However, an unexpected action by Masashi forces Yūko into an ultimate choice that shakes her convictions. Takiuchi plays the protagonist Yūko, and Ken Mitsuishi plays her father Masashi, with supporting roles by Tomohiro Umeda and Yūmi Kawai. The film was screened in the Panorama section of the 71st Berlin International Film Festival in 2021.
