G.I. Samurai
Led by Lieutenant Yoshiaki Iba, 21 members of the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force, armed with modern weapons, suddenly time-slip along with their supply depot to the Sengoku period while en route to an exercise. As they stand bewildered, Nagao Heizo Kagetora arrives with his retainers to meet them. Upon first seeing Iba, Kagetora takes an instant liking to him, calling him "a kindred spirit," and is drawn to their unfamiliar clothing and weapons, hoping to recruit them. Iba and his soldiers struggle to accept the reality of their time slip. However, after encountering Kagetora and being attacked by guerrilla forces of a rival feudal lord—resulting in a comrade's death—and witnessing Kagetora's battle firsthand, they are forced to come to terms with having arrived in the Sengoku period.
