ポーランドにおけるディストピアSFの先駆者ピョトル・シュルキン監督が社会主義体制下の1970年代末～80年代に手がけ、「全体主義からの脱出」というテーマを強烈な風刺と超現実主義の極致ともいえる作風で描いた暗黒SF4作品のうちの1作。 核戦争により荒廃した世界。惑星は凍りつき、放射線がドームの外に出た者をすべて殺してしまう。人類最後の生き残りたちを統制する男は、群衆の間を歩き回り、士気の低下を防ぎ、売春婦を口説き、反乱を鎮圧し、時には飢えた人々に食事を与える。しかしドームの真の邪悪な性質が明らかになるにつれ、男は人類を救う価値があるのか自問するようになる。 日本では2026年開催の特集上映企画「ポーランド暗黒SF≪文明の終焉4部作≫」（26年2月21日～、シアター・イメージフォーラム）にて劇場初公開。

One of four dark sci-fi works by Piotr Szulkin, a pioneer of dystopian science fiction in Poland, created under the socialist regime in the late 1970s and 1980s. With a style blending fierce satire and extreme surrealism, the film explores the theme of "escape from totalitarianism." In a world devastated by nuclear war, the planet is frozen, and radiation kills anyone who ventures outside the dome. A man who controls the last surviving humans walks among the crowds, preventing morale from collapsing, seducing prostitutes, suppressing rebellions, and occasionally feeding the hungry. But as the true evil nature of the dome becomes clear, he begins to question whether humanity is worth saving. The film had its Japanese theatrical premiere in 2026 as part of the special screening series "Polish Dark Sci-Fi: The End of Civilization Tetralogy" (starting February 21, 2026, at Theater Image Forum).
