劇場版3作目。強大な力を持つ太陽神アベルが復活し、その妹アテナは一緒に戦ってきた主人公たちを捨ててアベルと共に去る。いつもは活発な主人公が涙を流す演出は、少年の純真さや脆さを強調している。TVアニメで死亡した5人の「黄金聖闘士」たちが復活するのも見どころ。「週刊少年ジャンプ」創刊20周年として75分の拡大版となり『魁!! 男塾』と併映された。

The third theatrical film. The immensely powerful sun god Abel is resurrected, and his sister Athena abandons the protagonists who have fought alongside her to leave with Abel. The scene where the usually energetic protagonist sheds tears emphasizes the boy's purity and fragility. The revival of the five "Gold Saints" who died in the TV anime is also a highlight. As part of the 20th anniversary of "Weekly Shōnen Jump," this was released as a 75-minute extended version, double-billed with "Sakigake!! Otokojuku."
