フランスのヌーベルバーグを牽引した巨匠ジャン＝リュック・ゴダールが、「愛」をテーマに撮りあげたドラマ。 パリの若き芸術家エドガーは、「出会い、情熱、別れ、和解」という愛にまつわる4つの瞬間を、3組のカップルを起用して描く新作を構想する。エドガーがこの企画にふさわしいと考えるヒロイン像は、彼が2年前に出会った女性だった。それはエドガーがブルターニュでレジスタンスの歴史を調べるなかで知り合った、かつてレジスタンスに身を投じた老夫婦の孫娘だった。彼女の姿を追い求めるエドガーは、2年前のブルターニュでの記憶をよみがえらせていく。 前半パートは35ミリフィルムの陰影豊かなモノクロ映像で現在の出来事を描き、後半パートはデジタルビデオを駆使した鮮やかなカラー映像で主人公エドガーの回想を映し出す。特集上映企画「21世紀のジャン＝リュック・ゴダール　わたしたちの映画 2001-2010」（2026年6月20日～、シアター・イメージフォーラム渋谷ほか全国順次公開）にて、4K修復版を国内初上映。

A drama by Jean-Luc Godard, the master who led the French New Wave, centered on the theme of 'love.' Edgar, a young artist in Paris, conceives a new work depicting four moments related to love—'encounter, passion, separation, reconciliation'—using three couples. The heroine Edgar considers ideal for this project is a woman he met two years ago. She is the granddaughter of an elderly couple who were once involved in the Resistance, whom Edgar met while researching the history of the Resistance in Brittany. Searching for her, Edgar revives his memories of Brittany two years ago. The first half depicts present events in richly shaded black-and-white 35mm film, while the second half shows protagonist Edgar's flashbacks in vivid color using digital video. The 4K restored version will be screened in Japan for the first time as part of the special screening series 'Jean-Luc Godard in the 21st Century: Our Films 2001-2010' (starting June 20, 2026, at Theater Image Forum Shibuya and other locations nationwide).
