ニュータウンの一角にある平屋で暮らす建築家夫婦を追ったドキュメンタリー。さまざまな社会問題を取り上げたドキュメンタリー作品を世に送り出している東海テレビによる劇場公開ドキュメンタリーの第10弾。自身が設計を任された名古屋近郊のベッドタウン、高蔵寺ニュータウンに夫婦で50年間暮らす90歳の夫・修一さんと、敷地内の雑木林で育てた野菜や果物で得意の料理を手がける87歳の妻・英子さんの津端夫婦。敗戦から高度成長期を経て、現在に至るまでの津端夫婦の生活から、日本人があきらめてしまった、本当の豊かさを見つめなおす。ナレーションを樹木希林が担当。2016年3月に放送され、第42回放送文化基金賞番組部門最優秀賞受賞したドキュメンタリー番組を劇場版として再編集した。

A documentary following an architect couple living in a single-story house in a corner of a new town. This is the 10th theatrical documentary release by Tokai Television, known for producing documentaries addressing various social issues. The film follows 90-year-old husband Shūichi and his 87-year-old wife Eiko, the Tsunoda couple, who have lived for 50 years in Kōzōji New Town, a bedroom community near Nagoya where Shūichi was tasked with designing the area. Eiko is skilled in cooking, using vegetables and fruits grown in the wooded grove on their property. Through the Tsunoda couple's life from the postwar period through the high-growth era to the present day, the film reexamines the true richness that the Japanese people have given up on. Narration is provided by Kirin Kiki. Originally broadcast in March 2016 and winner of the Grand Prize in the program category at the 42nd Broadcast Culture Fund Awards, this documentary program was re-edited into a theatrical version.
