The fourth collaboration between director Bong Joon-ho ('Memories of Murder,' 'The Host,' 'Snowpiercer') and lead actor Song Kang-ho, this film won the Palme d'Or at the 72nd Cannes Film Festival in 2019, the first for a Korean film. It also garnered global attention by winning four awards at the 92nd Academy Awards, including Best Picture—the first for a foreign language film—as well as Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, and Best International Feature Film. The Kim family is all unemployed and living in poverty, scraping by day to day. One day, the eldest son, Ki-woo, goes to the lavish home of IT CEO Mr. Park for a tutoring job interview.
