Mi-ja, 66, lives alone with her middle school grandson Jong-wook, whom she looks after in place of her daughter who works in Busan. One day, inspired by an advertisement she happens to see, she starts attending a poetry class. Following the instructor's advice, she carries a small notebook, observes her surroundings, jots down what she feels, and searches for beautiful words.
