A cute comedy from early Barnet featuring light and comical movements that fill the screen, a hallmark of silent films. Natasha, a hat maker, supplies hats to a shop in Moscow. One day, on a train to the hat shop, she meets a poor student named Ilya and enters into a fake marriage to secure him a place to live in Moscow. One day, a lottery ticket given to her by the shop owner instead of payment turns out to be a winner, and chaos ensues! The man becomes desperate to reclaim the ticket, and with the course of her romance with Ilya also in the mix, a great commotion erupts around Natasha.
