ツキに見放された漁師と施設から脱走したダウン症の青年、施設の看護師の3人による青年の夢をかなえるための冒険の旅を描いたヒューマンドラマ。養護施設で暮らすダウン症のザックは、子どもの頃からの夢だったプロレスラーの養成学校に入るため施設を脱走する。兄を亡くして孤独な日々を送る漁師のタイラーは、他人の獲物を盗んでいたことがバレたことから、ボートでの逃亡を図る。そんなタイラーと偶然に出会ったザック、そしてザックを捜すためにやってきた施設の看護師エレノアも加わり、3人はザックのためにある目的地へと向かう。タイラー役をシャイア・ラブーフ、エレノア役をダコタ・ジョンソン、ザック役を作品製作のきっかけとなったザック・ゴッツァーゲンが演じ、ジョン・ホークス、トーマス・ヘイデン・チャーチらが脇を固める。監督は本作が長編初監督作となるタイラー・ニルソン＆マイケル・シュワルツ。

A human drama depicting the adventure of three people—a down-on-his-luck fisherman, a young man with Down syndrome who escapes from a care facility, and a nurse from the facility—as they journey to fulfill the young man's dream. Zack, a young man with Down syndrome living in a group home, escapes to enroll in a professional wrestling school, a dream he has had since childhood. Tyler, a fisherman living a lonely life after the death of his brother, tries to flee on his boat after being caught stealing someone else's catch. Zack happens to meet Tyler, and Eleanor, the nurse who came looking for Zack, joins them. The three head to a destination for Zack's sake. Shia LaBeouf plays Tyler, Dakota Johnson plays Eleanor, and Zack Gottsagen, who inspired the film's creation, plays Zack. John Hawkes and Thomas Haden Church round out the supporting cast. The film marks the feature directorial debut of Tyler Nilson and Michael Schwartz.
