Nanami Minagawa, a temporary teacher in Tokyo, meets Tetsuya on social media and marries him. She hires Amaru, a jack-of-all-trades, to provide stand-in guests for the wedding ceremony. However, Tetsuya's affair soon comes to light. Then Nanami is accused by her mother-in-law of having an affair herself and is forced to leave the house. Amaru introduces Nanami to jobs as a stand-in wedding guest and as a live-in maid with a monthly salary of 1 million yen. There she meets her fellow maid, the unconventional and free-spirited Mashiro Satonaka.
