高校3年の杉原の国籍は韓国だが、普段はまったく気にしない。桜井という少女とつきあうようになり、いつか自分の国籍を告白しなくてはならないと思っていたある日、同じ国籍をもつ親友に悲劇が起こる。原作は金城一紀の直木賞受賞作「GO」。監督は、昨年の釜山映画祭で国際批評家連盟賞を受賞した「ひまわり」の行定勲。脚本はTV「池袋ウエストゲートパーク」の宮藤官九郎。同番組に出演した窪塚洋介、「バトル・ロワイアル」の柴咲コウら若手人気俳優が共演。

High school senior Sugihara has South Korean nationality, but usually doesn't think about it. He starts dating a girl named Sakurai and thinks he must confess his nationality to her someday, when a tragedy befalls a close friend of the same nationality. Based on the Naoki Prize-winning novel "GO" by Kinichi Kaneshiro. Directed by Isao Yukisada, who won the International Critics' Award at the previous year's Busan Film Festival for "Himawari." Screenplay by Kankuro Kudo of the TV series "Ikebukuro West Gate Park." Co-starring popular young actors including Yosuke Kubozuka from that show and Ko Shibasaki from "Battle Royale."
