Tsukiko Izumisawa, a girl suffering from memory loss and insomnia due to an accident three years ago, attends a psychiatric clinic. Her doctor, Hosono, probes her memories through hypnotherapy and hears the name "Tomie." However, Tsukiko cannot recall who that name belongs to. Then, strange and terrifying events suddenly begin occurring in Tsukiko's life. One day, a detective from the Metropolitan Police visits Hosono. He is investigating a woman named Tomie Kawakami.
