原作は「家なき子」。継父に旅芸人へと売られても、少年レミはくじけない。背景美術にはミレーやモネなど多様なヨーロッパの名画の要素を取り入れ、芹川有吾による絶妙な「溜め」の演出が苦難の旅路を劇的に盛り上げる。フランキー堺が声を演じる相棒カピのおどけた佇まいが、悲劇のつるべ打ちに一服の清涼剤を与えている。

Based on 'Nobody's Boy.' Even after being sold by his stepfather to traveling performers, young Remi never loses heart. The background art incorporates elements from diverse European masterpieces by Millet and Monet, while Yugo Serikawa's masterful use of dramatic pauses heightens the arduous journey. Frankie Sakai's voice performance as Remi's sidekick Capi, with his playful demeanor, offers a refreshing respite amid the relentless tragedy.
