「PASSION」の濱口竜介と「ホームスイートホーム」の酒井耕が共同監督を務める東北記録映画3部作の第3部で、東日本大震災の被災者たちの対話を集めた前2作に続き、東北地方に伝わる民話語りを記録したドキュメンタリー。民話研究者の小野和子を聞き手に迎え、方言の抑揚豊かな3人の語り手たちが民話の語り聞かせを披露。語り手と聞き手の間に生まれる民話独特の空気が、創造的なカメラワークによってスクリーンに映し出されていく。

The third part of the Tohoku documentary trilogy co-directed by Ryusuke Hamaguchi ('PASSION') and Ko Sakai ('Home Sweet Home'). Following the first two works that collected dialogues of Great East Japan Earthquake survivors, this documentary records folk tales passed down in the Tohoku region. With folk tale researcher Kazuko Ono as the listener, three storytellers with richly inflected dialects perform their tales. The unique atmosphere that arises between storyteller and listener is brought to the screen through creative camerawork.
