「ハリー・ポッター」シリーズのダニエル・ラドクリフが死体役を演じ、「リトル・ミス・サンシャイン」「ラブ＆マーシー　終わらないメロディー」などで知られるポール・ダノ扮する青年が、死体を使って無人島からの脱出を試みる様を描いた異色のサバイバル劇。遭難して無人島に漂着した青年ハンクは、絶望して命を断とうとしたとき、波打ち際に男の死体が打ち上げられているのを発見する。死体からはガスが出ており、浮力があることに気付いたハンクは意を決し、死体にまたがり無人島脱出を試みるが……。CMディレクター出身の監督コンビ、ダニエル・クワン＆ダニエル・シャイナート（通称：ダニエルズ）の初長編作で、サンダンス映画祭やシッチェス・カタロニア国際映画祭で受賞を重ねて話題を集めた。共演に「10 クローバーフィールド・レーン」のメアリー・エリザベス・ウィンステッド。

An unconventional survival story in which Daniel Radcliffe, of "Harry Potter" fame, plays a corpse, and Paul Dano, known for "Little Miss Sunshine" and "Love & Mercy," plays a young man who attempts to escape a deserted island using the corpse. After being shipwrecked and washing ashore on a deserted island, Hank, a young man, is about to end his life in despair when he discovers a man's corpse washed up on the shore. Noticing that the corpse is emitting gas and has buoyancy, Hank makes a decision and tries to escape the island by straddling the corpse, but... This is the feature debut of directing duo Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert (known as Daniels), who come from a background in commercial directing. The film garnered attention with awards at the Sundance Film Festival and the Sitges Film Festival. Mary Elizabeth Winstead (from "10 Cloverfield Lane") co-stars.
