アルゼンチンの映画製作集団「エル・パンペロ・シネ」の中心的メンバーで、2022年に発表した長編ミステリー映画「トレンケ・ラウケン」がベネチア国際映画祭やサン・セバスチャン国際映画祭など各国の映画祭で上映されて注目されるラウラ・シタレラ監督が、2015年に手がけた作品。 ひとりの女性がたくさんの犬に囲まれて、平原を横切っていく。彼女はブエノスアイレス郊外の空き地に自らの手で建てた小屋で、10匹の犬とともにひっそりと暮らしている。お金も使わず、言葉もしゃべらず、社会からはみ出たような謎の女性。無秩序に肥大化した大都市の周縁には、彼女のような謎が謎のままで存在できる世界が広がっていた。 「エル・パンペロ・シネ」メンバーの映画監督・脚本家マリアノ・ジナスの姉である俳優のベロニカ・ジナスが主演を務め、ベロニカの発案で彼女自身とシタレラが共同でメガホンをとった。「トレンケ・ラウケン」の劇場公開にあわせた特集上映「ラウラ・シタレラ監督特集　響きあう秘密」にて日本劇場初公開。

A film directed in 2015 by Laura Citarella, a core member of the Argentine filmmaking collective El Pampero Cine, who gained international attention with her 2022 feature mystery film Trenque Lauquen, screened at the Venice International Film Festival, the San Sebastián International Film Festival, and other festivals around the world. A woman crosses a plain surrounded by many dogs. She lives quietly with ten dogs in a hut she built with her own hands on an empty lot on the outskirts of Buenos Aires. She uses no money, speaks no words — a mysterious woman who seems to have slipped outside of society. On the edges of an uncontrollably sprawling metropolis, there spread worlds where mysteries like her could remain mysteries. Starring Verónica Ginas, an actor and the sister of Mariano Ginas, a filmmaker and screenwriter who is a member of El Pampero Cine, the film was co-directed by Verónica and Citarella at Verónica's suggestion. It had its first Japanese theatrical release as part of the special screening series 'Laura Citarella Retrospective: Resonating Secrets,' held to coincide with the theatrical release of Trenque Lauquen.
