LES AMANTS DU PONT-NEUF
A love story from French visionary Leos Carax, following *Boy Meets Girl* and *Bad Blood*, this film serves as the final chapter of his trilogy centered on a young man named Alex. On the Pont-Neuf, the oldest and most beautiful bridge in Paris, a street performer named Alex encounters Michèle, an art student wandering the streets while suffering from the pain of a broken heart and a seemingly incurable eye disease. Before long, the two begin living together on the bridge, deepening their bond amidst their shared loneliness. Michèle struggles with lingering feelings for a cellist named Julien and the fear of losing her sight as an artist, while Alex has lived his life without ever knowing a true connection to others. Gradually, a profound love blossoms between them. However, Michèle eventually learns that her parents are searching for her and that a cure for her eye disease has been found... Denis Lavant returns to play the protagonist Alex, following his roles in *Boy Meets Girl* and *Bad Blood*, while Juliette Binoche portrays Michèle. Produced in 1991 and released in Japan in 199
