「リアリズムの宿」の山下敦弘監督が、高校生活最後の文化祭で「ザ・ブルーハーツ」のコピーバンドをすることになった少女たちの奮闘を描いた青春映画。 とある地方都市の高校。文化祭を目前にしたある日、軽音楽部の5人組ガールズバンドのギタリストが指を骨折し、内輪揉めによってボーカルが脱退してしまう。残された3人のメンバーは途方に暮れながらも、成り行きから韓国人留学生ソンを新しいボーカルとして迎え、ザ・ブルーハーツのコピーバンドを結成。文化祭最終日の本番に向けて練習を重ねていくが……。 韓国の人気女優ペ・ドゥナが留学生ソンを演じ、「バトル・ロワイアル」の前田亜季、「ローレライ」の香椎由宇、ロックバンド「Base Ball Bear」の関根史織が共演。アメリカのロックバンド「スマッシング・パンプキンズ」のギタリストとして知られるジェームズ・イハが音楽を担当。

A refreshing youth drama set in high school, depicting the struggles of a girls' band. Starring Bae Doona of 'Barking Dogs Never Bite' and 'Tube', Aki Maeda of the 'Battle Royale' series, Yuu Kashii of 'Lorelei', and Shiori Sekine, bassist of the rock band Base Ball Bear. Directed by Nobuhiro Yamashita of 'A Gentle Breeze in the Village'. It delicately portrays the subtle emotional shifts and excitement in the hearts of teenage girls. At a local high school, an emergency strikes Kyoko, Megumi, and Nozomi of the same band. They had even prepared an original song for the school festival, but guitarist Moyu injured her finger, and the furious vocalist Rinko quit the band. However, after listening to 'Linda Linda' by The Blue Hearts, which they happen to hear, Kyoko and the others decide to form a cover band of The Blue Hearts. They invite Song, a Korean exchange student, to be the vocalist, and she agrees. The four practice hard toward the final day of the school festival, but...
