Oasis
After serving two years and six months for a hit-and-run incident—following an assault and attempted rape—John-Do is released from prison. When he returns to his family, no one welcomes him warmly, and they don't hide their resentment. One day, he visits the family of the victim he killed in the hit-and-run. However, the family is in the middle of moving, and only a woman named Gong-ju is left behind in the room. She suffers from severe cerebral palsy, leaving her unable to move her limbs freely and with serious speech impairments. Her older brother and his wife had obtained a large apartment for the disabled in her name and moved there, abandoning her. John-Do begins to grow concerned about Gong-ju...
