茨城県下妻市を舞台に、ロリータとヤンキーという正反対の価値観を持つ2人の少女の友情を描いた青春コメディ。嶽本野ばらの同名小説を原作に、中島哲也が監督・脚色を手がけた。 見渡す限りの田んぼが広がる茨城県下妻市。ロココ時代のフランスに憧れる17歳の超マイペースな少女・桃子は、大好きなロリータファッションに身を包み、崇拝するブランドの本店がある代官山まで通い続けている。そんなある日、洋服代を稼ぐため有名ブランドの偽物を売り始めた彼女の前に、地元の暴走族に所属する同年代の少女・イチゴが現れる。根性の座った桃子を気に入ったイチゴは、それ以来、頻繁に彼女の家を訪れるようになる。 ロリータ少女の桃子を深田恭子、ヤンキー少女のイチゴを土屋アンナがそれぞれ演じた。公開20周年を迎えた2024年には、デジタルシネマパッケージ（DCP）化され、リバイバル上映される。

A youth comedy set in Shimotsuma City, Ibaraki Prefecture, depicting the friendship between two girls with completely opposite values: a Lolita and a Yankee. Based on the novel of the same name by Novala Takemoto, directed and adapted by Tetsuya Nakashima. In Shimotsuma City, Ibaraki, surrounded by endless rice fields, 17-year-old Momoko is a super laid-back girl who adores Rococo-era France. She dresses in her beloved Lolita fashion and commutes to Daikanyama, where the flagship store of her worshipped brand is located. One day, she starts selling counterfeit famous brands to earn money for clothes, and a girl her age named Ichigo, a member of a local biker gang, appears before her. Ichigo takes a liking to the gutsy Momoko and begins frequently visiting her home. Momoko the Lolita girl is played by Kyoko Fukada, and Ichigo the Yankee girl is played by Anna Tsuchiya. In 2024, marking the 20th anniversary of its release, it was converted to Digital Cinema Package (DCP) and screened in revival.
