老舗ブランド「クリスチャン・ディオール」全面協力のもと、オートクチュールの裏側に迫ったドキュメンタリー作品。2012年、空席になっていたディオールのアーティスティックディレクターの座に就任したラフ・シモンズ。自身の男性ブランド「ジル・サンダー」で活躍するシモンズだが、その認知度は低く、オートクチュール界での経験は皆無で、この大抜擢は世界中のファッション関係者を驚かせた。通常のコレクションでは半年近くの準備期間が必要とされている中、ディオールでの最初のコレクションまでに、シモンズに与えられた時間はわずか8週間。限られた時間の中で、世界中が注目するメゾンのコレクションを成功させるため奮闘するデザイナーや職人たちの裏側に密着した。

A documentary that goes behind the scenes of haute couture with the full cooperation of the storied brand Christian Dior. In 2012, Raf Simons took over the vacant position of artistic director at Dior. Though Simons had made his mark with his own menswear brand Jil Sander, his name recognition was low and he had no experience in the world of haute couture, so this bold appointment shocked fashion insiders around the world. While a normal collection requires nearly half a year of preparation, Simons was given only eight weeks before his first Dior collection. The film closely follows the designers and artisans as they struggle behind the scenes to make the maison's collection — watched by the entire world — a success within that limited time.
