「女っ気なし」などで注目されるフランスの若手監督ギョーム・ブラックが、年を重ね、先行きのない未来に苦悩する落ち目のミュージシャンが、やがて本当に愛することの意味を見出していく姿を描いた人生賛歌のドラマ。主演は、ブラック監督作品おなじみのバンサン・マケーニュ。いまや世間から忘れ去られようとしているミュージシャンのマクシムは、フランス・ブルゴーニュ地方の生まれ故郷の町トネールに戻ってくる。一人暮らしの父親クロードはアウトドアスポーツを楽しみ、女性関係も華やかで人生を謳歌しているが、都会での生活に疲れ果てたマクシムは生きる気力を失っていた。そんな折、地元情報誌の若い女性記者メロディがマクシムを取材にしにやってくる。その若さと笑顔にひかれたマクシムは、メロディと距離を縮めていくが……。

A life-affirming drama by rising French director Guillaume Brac, known for 'A Summer's Tale,' depicting an aging, down-and-out musician struggling with a bleak future as he gradually discovers the true meaning of love. Starring Vincent Macaigne, a regular in Brac's films. Maxime, a musician now nearly forgotten by the world, returns to his hometown of Tonnerre in the Burgundy region of France. His single father Claude enjoys outdoor sports, has a vibrant love life, and revels in life, but Maxime, exhausted by city living, has lost his will to live. Then, a young female journalist named Mélodie from a local information magazine comes to interview Maxime. Drawn to her youth and smile, Maxime grows closer to her...
