A moving life drama in which Jeon Do-yeon of 'The Scandal' won the Best Actress award at the Cannes Film Festival with a powerful performance. The film carefully traces, with a restrained touch, the spiritual wandering and path to regeneration of a heroine crushed by an unjust fate after losing her beloved son. Co-starring Song Kang-ho of 'The Host,' and directed by Lee Chang-dong of 'Oasis.' Shin-ae, a single mother, moves with her young son Jun to Miryang, her late husband's hometown, vowing to make a fresh start. Jong-chan, the owner of an auto repair shop, tries to win Shin-ae's attention by helping her in various ways, but she dismisses him as a vulgar man and treats him coldly. Just as her new life begins to settle, an unexpected tragedy strikes her.
