人工呼吸器をつけた少年が無人島での冒険に挑む姿を追った短編ドキュメンタリー。 高度医療ケアを必要とする10歳の少年・吉原壮眞くんとその母親・純代さんは、障がいを抱えた子どもたちと沖縄の無人島へ行くツアーに参加することを決意する。人工呼吸器を装着し、日々の生活に電気や医療が欠かせない壮眞くんにとって、電気も水もない無人島への旅は決して安全とは言えず、一歩間違えれば命に関わる。医師からはツアー参加は難しいと言われてしまうが、「無人島に冒険に行きたい」という壮眞くんのまっすぐな想いは最終的に医師の心を動かし、医師自身がツアーに同行するという決断をしてくれたことで旅が実現する。そしてツアー当日、壮眞くんはさまざまな人たちの協力のもと、小さな漁船に乗って海を越え、無人島に降り立つ。 ひとりの少年の小さな勇気と挑戦が周囲の人たちを動かし想いをかなえていく様子と、その先に広がっていた、それぞれの中にある大切なものを思い出させてくれるような瞬間を映し出す。NHK連続テレビ小説「あんぱん」「エール」、大河ドラマ「どうする家康」などの演出家・野口雄大がドキュメンタリー作品を初監督した。

A short documentary following a boy on a ventilator as he takes on an adventure to a deserted island. Ten-year-old Sota Yoshihara, who requires advanced medical care, and his mother Sumiyo decide to join a tour that takes children with disabilities to a remote island in Okinawa. For Sota, who relies on a ventilator and needs electricity and medical care daily, a trip to an island with no electricity or water is far from safe—one wrong step could be life-threatening. Doctors initially say the tour is too difficult, but Sota's earnest wish to 'go on an adventure to a deserted island' ultimately moves a doctor to accompany the tour himself, making the journey possible. On the day of the tour, with the help of many people, Sota crosses the sea on a small fishing boat and sets foot on the deserted island. The film captures how one boy's small courage and challenge move those around him to fulfill his wish, and reveals moments that remind everyone of what is truly important in their own lives. Directed by Takehiro Noguchi, known for directing NHK's morning drama 'Anpan' and 'Yell' as well as the taiga drama 'What Will Ieyasu Do?', in his documentary directorial debut.
