In a provincial city, middle school student Yuichi becomes close with the honor student Hoshino, but a summer trip changes the dynamics among their friends. When the new semester begins, Hoshino defeats the class's worst delinquent in a fight and gradually turns into a tyrant himself. As his actions escalate—assault, shoplifting, and forcing classmates into prostitution—Yuichi, who has become a target of bullying, is also made complicit. Turning his eyes away from reality, Yuichi creates a fan site for his idolized artist, Lily Chou-Chou.
