舘ひろしが主演を務め、70歳の映画スターが免許返納をめぐる大騒動に巻き込まれていく姿を描いたコメディ。 順風満帆な俳優人生を歩んできた南条弘は、最近では芸術映画でも数々の映画賞を獲得しているが、心の内ではアクション映画への出演を望んでいた。そんな中、若い頃からの腐れ縁である俳優仲間の尾崎誠がバイク事故を起こし、南条は同世代の俳優としてメディアからコメントを求められる。尾崎を諫める発言は世間から思いがけない注目を集め、ひとり歩きした論調は南条のマネージャーや家族も巻き込みながら、本来の意図とは異なる形で拡大解釈されていく。これからも車やバイクでのアクションを演じたい南条だったが、周囲からは免許返納を期待され、人生最大のピンチに陥ってしまう。 舘ひろしが1994年の映画「免許がない！」で演じた役と同名の俳優・南条弘をコミカルに演じ、南条に振り回されるマネージャー・川奈舞役で西野七瀬、南条との出会いで大きく人生が変わっていく青年・来宮亮役で黒川想矢、南条が所属する芸能事務所の社長・三宅篤役で吉田鋼太郎、南条とともに一時代を築いた俳優仲間・尾崎誠役で宇崎竜童が共演。「かぐや様は告らせたい　天才たちの恋愛頭脳戦」の河合勇人が監督を務め、「ラーゲリより愛を込めて」の林民夫が脚本を手がけた。

A comedy starring Hiroshi Tachi, depicting a 70-year-old movie star caught up in a major uproar over surrendering his driver's license. Nanjo Hiroshi, who has enjoyed a smooth acting career and recently won numerous film awards for art films, secretly longs to appear in action movies. When his longtime actor friend Ozaki Makoto gets into a motorcycle accident, Nanjo is asked by the media for comment as a fellow actor of the same generation. His remarks admonishing Ozaki unexpectedly attract public attention, and the narrative takes on a life of its own, involving his manager and family, and being interpreted in ways far from his original intent. Although Nanjo wants to continue performing action scenes with cars and motorcycles, those around him expect him to surrender his license, plunging him into the biggest crisis of his life. Hiroshi Tachi comically plays actor Nanjo Hiroshi, the same name as the character he played in the 1994 film "License!". Nishino Nanase plays his manager Kawauna Mai, who is thrown into chaos by Nanjo; Kurokawa Sooya plays young man Kugami Ryo, whose life changes dramatically after meeting Nanjo; Yoshida Kotaro plays Mita Atsushi, the president of Nanjo's talent agency; and Uzaki Ryudo plays Ozaki Makoto, an actor friend who built an era alongside Nanjo. Directed by Kawai Yuji of "Kaguya-sama: Love Is War" fame, with screenplay by Hayashi Tamio of "From the Land of Love to the Land of Sorrow".
