地域×食×高校生をテーマにした青春映画「ぼくらのレシピ図鑑シリーズ」の第4弾。東京都清瀬市を舞台に、映画部員の高校生たちが、偶然出会ったエイリアンとともに過ごすひと夏をユーモラスに描く。 清瀬市に暮らす高校2年生の颯は、SF映画が大好き。映画部でエイリアン映画を撮りたいと密かに思っていたが、前作を酷評されたことで弱気になっていた。ところが夏休み前のある日、清瀬の森に何かが落下してきて、颯と映画部の仲間たちは、そこで本物のエイリアンに遭遇する。颯は、幼なじみで映画好きのイケメン陽向、陽気で頭が良いメガネ男子のボンシャン、ぽっちゃりマイペースで音楽好きな若水ら個性的な仲間たち、そしてエイリアンとともに、映画づくりを始めることになる。 監督は「ハルチカ」「台風家族」「犬も食わねどチャーリーは笑う」で知られる市井昌秀。

The fourth installment of the "Our Recipe Book Series," a youth film project centered on the themes of community, food, and high school life. Set in Kiyose City, Tokyo, the film humorously depicts a summer spent by high school film club members with an alien they encounter by chance. Hayate, a high school sophomore living in Kiyose, is a massive sci-fi fan. He secretly dreamed of filming an alien movie with his club, but had lost his nerve after his previous work was panned by critics. However, one day just before summer break, something crashes into the woods of Kiyose, and Hayate and his fellow film club members encounter a real alien there. Alongside this extraterrestrial visitor and a group of unique friends—including his handsome, movie-loving childhood friend Hinata; the cheerful and brainy "Bon-chan"; and the easygoing, music-loving Wakamizu—Hayate sets out to make his movie. The film is directed by Masahide Ichii, known for "Haruchika: Bring on the Melody," "The Family of Typhoon," and "What to Do with My Husband: Oh My Charlie."
