「フィクショナル」「カウンセラー」の酒井善三が監督を務め、「行方不明展」や「イシナガキクエを探しています」を世に送り出したテレビ東京プロデューサーの大森時生が企画プロデュースを担当したホラー作品。2025年にミニシアターを中心に約1年におよぶロングランヒットを記録した「雪子 a.k.a.」の山下リオが主演を務め、母の介護を通じてパラノイア的恐怖に苛まれていく主人公を演じた。 父の死を機に実家に戻り、認知症の母の介護を始めた佳奈。母との時間を取り戻すかのように献身的に介護にあたるが、母の不可解な言動は徐々に常軌を逸したものになっていき、周囲で起こる異変にも違和感を覚える。やがて、母の内側に何かが入り込んでいるような感覚にとらわれた佳奈は、この世のものとは思えない“何か”の存在に狂わされていく。 主人公・佳奈を山下リオが演じるほか、佳奈からの訴えを聞いて実家に駆け付ける妹・杏里役を「石がある」「彼方のうた」など主演作が相次ぐ小川あん、佳奈や杏里の家族とある出来事をきっかけに親交を持った精神科医・熊谷役をマキタスポーツが演じる。

A horror film directed by Yoshizo Sakai of "Fictional" and "Counselor," planned and produced by Tokio Omori, a TV Tokyo producer who brought forth "The Missing Exhibit" and "Searching for Kikue Ishinaga." Rio Yamashita, who starred in the 2025 long-running hit "Yukiko a.k.a." primarily in mini-theaters over about a year, plays the lead role of a woman tormented by paranoid fear through caring for her mother. After her father's death, Kana returns to her childhood home and begins caring for her mother, who has dementia. She devotes herself to caregiving as if trying to reclaim time with her mother, but her mother's inexplicable behavior gradually becomes increasingly bizarre, and Kana begins to feel uneasy about strange occurrences around her. Eventually, possessed by the sensation that something has entered her mother's inner being, Kana is driven mad by the presence of an unearthly "something." In addition to Rio Yamashita as the protagonist Kana, An Ogawa, who has starred in successive films including "There Is a Stone" and "Song of the Beyond," plays Kana's younger sister Anri, who rushes to the family home after hearing Kana's pleas, and Sports Makita plays psychiatrist Kumagai, who becomes acquainted with Kana and Anri's family through a certain incident.
